My journey
Implant placement
Your journey, step by step: before the implant placement, on the day itself, then the days that follow, up to the check-up appointment.

- D-7
Prepare
- Allow about two hours on site; free parking at the foot of the medical centre.
- If you smoke, cut down from now on: healing will be better.
- Tell the front desk about any ongoing treatment, especially blood thinners.
- D-day
The procedure
- A light breakfast before you come, then brush carefully.
- Come with someone if you can: you will be more comfortable on the way home.
- After placement, bite on the gauze for twenty minutes without talking or spitting.
- D+1
Rest
- Ice for ten minutes every hour on the cheek, with a cloth between the skin and the pack.
- Warm, blended food today; nothing hot or crunchy.
- No vigorous rinsing, no sport: the area must stay quiet.
- D+7
Check-up
- Check-up appointment and stitch removal if needed.
- Gentle brushing around the area with the surgical brush given at the practice.
- Persistent discomfort or increasing swelling: call us, do not wait.
